DAR Logo

Membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution starts with lineal descent from patriots of the American Revolutionary War. However, DAR is more than a lineage society: it is a service organization dedicated to God, Home and Country. For over 120 years, DAR projects have supported our veterans, education, and historical preservation.

Celebrating America Logo The 2013-2016 theme of our President General, Lynn Forney Young, is "Honoring Our Heritage–Focusing on the Future–Celebrating America!" The goal of the "Celebrate America!" project is for DAR members to volunteer one million hours of community service each year.

Do you have a Revolutionary War ancestor? Are you interested in creating lifelong friendships, but aren't a genealogist? That's okay. We can help! Chances are good that our lineage researchers can find a patriot in your family tree. We will make your application process as easy as possible.
